Sisters Kaari and Krista and their children

Moms know best…

Back in 1999, two sisters Kaari and Krista were home caring for their young children. Let down by ordinary bibs, they decided to design a bib that would be better than anything they had seen before. These moms knew exactly how to make something that actually worked. Important to their design was comfort, coverage, quality and value. Something every mother would appreciate. No more aggravations over clothes ruined by every day food stains.
As their families grew, the need for other improved products became part of A Better Bib’s mission. More absorbent baby bibs and burp cloths in fresh new fabrics were added to their repertoire. Superior thickness was pivotal in the design of these products because comparable products fell short.

Once their children entered preschool, a need for coverage in a new area was born. Children’s art smocks in fun kid-oriented fabrics, that their children helped pick out, were created. Their children refused to wear the hot, sticky, uncomfortable vinyl products with cuffs that pinched their wrists. A Better Bib’s machine washable, cool, comfortable cotton smocks are ones that their children enjoy wearing.  After all, their children were the inspiration for all of the designs at A Better Bib.

Being able to be full-time moms and business owners seemed a perfect fit for Kaari and Krista. They have always felt it was important to take the time to spend those fleeting moments of childhood with their beautiful children. Starting up business in a corner of their homes, while their children napped, A Better Bib has always been a labor of love. It is the mission of A Better Bib to help take the parents stress out of the daily activities of feeding and being creative, by allowing children the freedom to explore their world and individuality. Parents can gain peace of mind by knowing their child is covered in a quality product by A Better Bib that will keep clothes clean and make clean-up easy.
